The Africa Islamic Economic Foundation (AFRIEF), has sent a congratulatory message to the new Governor of Zamfara State, His Excellency Alhaji (Dr) Dauda Lawal Dare.
In a special message, signed by its President, Mallam Baba Yunus Muhammad, and delivered to the State Government in Gusau, Zamfara State on the 6th of June, 2023 by a delegation of the Africa Islamic Economic Foundation, led by its Nigeria’s Country representative, Dr. Kabiru Umar Dasuki, the Governor was wished a “continued wisdom, strength and commitment” as he performs the duties of his lofty office.
The message noted that the resounding victory of the Governor at the polls was a clear demonstration that his wealth of knowledge, sterling qualities, long-standing experience and determined efforts to facilitate economic development and growth of his State were highly recognized by the good people of Zamfara State, stressing that Dr Lawal’s versatility of knowledge, experience and leadership qualities, would provide exemplary leadership to the people of Zamfara State, especially, in fast-tracking and deepening its economic development.
Tasking the new Governor to work tirelessly to transform Zamfara State into a bustling economic hub of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and an attractive investment destination for investors, Baba Yunus pledged the support of the Africa Islamic Economic Foundation to the leadership of Dr Dauda Lawal and assured him of the preparedness of his organization to collaborate with the Zamfara State Government under his leadership to forge a strong tradition of cooperation and collaboration, built on trust and mutual respect, which will serve “as a solid foundation for our future work to promote the development of Zamfara State during your tenure in office.”
In his response, the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Abu Gusau, who received the delegation on behalf the State Governor, thanked the delegation for the inspiring congratulatory message and expressed great delight with the prospects of an exciting collaborative relationship between the State Government and the Africa Islamic Economic Foundation, stressing that the relationship will no doubt, foster increased agricultural productivity, investment in infrastructure, and investment in science and technology in the State.
